I want him back

My boyfriend and i have been together for 5 years and we had plans to get married in 2 years or earlier. He always says he loves me alot but sometimes he behaves in the reverse manner. i really love him alot but i can't stand lies he tells me and when i find out, he is very remorseful but few days or a week later he behaves the opposite..Things got to a point i ended it, he always still tells me he loves me, but he has made no move to apologise or come crawling back. I have given him everything he wanted , and i have been there by his side in good times and in bad. I don't want the 5 years to go to waste. Please help me. I want him to realise his wrongs and come back for me as a great guy. I dont need him to buy me gifts, or be rich, or be very educated but i want him to be caring, loving , sincere and treasure me and be hopelessly devoted to me and i want to be in control. After years of giving in to him, i want him to be on the giving end this time. He is the one guy i would love even in sickness and health. Even though we have been apart so long, not a day has gone by without his thought, and i believe in loving that one special guy for life. He has to realise my worth.My birthday is on the 17th of Feb and i am spending it without him, no matter what problems we had i always made sure he was happy on his birthdays.
