The connection

Chris worked by my house and had wanted to ask me out but I was with someone so I never spoke to him. About 3 months after my relationship ended, I ran into him and it was so crazy because I instanly opened up and became this person I have never been. I am not emotional, and it takes people a long time to really get close to me, but with him it was different, I knew the first time I looked in his eyes that I loved him, and I would swear it was in his eyes that he felt the same. For 3 months we talked everyday, and about everything, when we were near each other the passion was intense, then one day he said he didn't want to be in love and I didn't hear from him for about a week, but we decided to be friends. the first time we saw each other though we were drawn to each other and kissed. The next day he said he only wanted to be friends and I haven't heard from him since. Normally I would have been upset for about a day, but with him, after over a month I swear I still feel him in my soul, and it's almost as if I know when he is thinking about me because I feel it. He does have other issues in his life, and I am sure that is a part of it, but I would walk through fire for him. I know it sounds like a child crush, but I am grown, and divorced, and I just can't shake him. My soul hurts for him. Just to talk to him, see him, and have that connection again, the mental one. No one has ever been on the same mental level as me, I am a weirdo, but he gets me. He says things I am about to say like he just knows. I wish for him to come back into my life, of coarse I would love for it to be romantic, but honestly for now, I just miss my friend.
