Simple way to make any herbal oil
- By: Bile
some can be simple, some can be compound
bruise the herbs/flowers and put in an earthen pot (or glass).
to 2 or 3 handfulls add 1 pint (or 2 cups) olive oil
cover the pot with paper and set in the sun for two weeks
(if it rains a lot, then tape a piece of that weird sticky plastic stuff that people put around leftovers to the pot)
-optional- to make the oil stronger, press the herbs out when warm from the sun, then add many more bruised herbs to the oil. set in sun for two more weeks.
after all that, boil the herbs and oil together, until the juice is consumed, the herbs crisp. (believe it or not the leaves do get pretty crispy after you "fry" them in the oil for awhile, it shouldnt take that long)
strain while it is still hot and store in either earthenware or glass
make an oil out of leaves, seeds, and fruits of most herbs
